Barbara Beerman

B arbara B eerman peacefully passed away at her home in North Platte on November 19, 2024, at the age of 93.

She was born in Norfolk on September 28, 1931, to Irma and Fredrick Farley and grew up in Brady.  Barbara graduated from Brady High School then attended Midland College.  A year later she moved to Farnam and married Jay Beerman on January 1, 1951, then the couple moved to North Platte.

Barbara and Jay were married for 50 years and had four children.  She loved her family and her cats and enjoyed reading and was very religious and proud of her faith.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Michael Beerman and Shannon Montgomery; and brother, Don Farley.

Survivors include her sons and their friends, Randall and David of North Platte and Jay and Judy of Alma; grandchildren, Jennifer Nielsen (Matt), Dustin Beerman (Laura), Sara Fleury, and David Carter (Brenda); great-grandchildren, Drew, Hayes, Colten, Hannah, Harper and Antonia; and other family.

Graveside service and inurnment will be at a later date at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.  Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
