Abby Foster

Services for Abby have been scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Harvest Christian Fellowship.

A bby F oster, age 60, of North Platte, passed away at Great Plains Health on December 28, 2022.

Abby was born to John and Dorothy Foster on August 28, 1962, at North Platte where she grew up. Following her school years she moved to Harrison, AR, and married Ken Bliss. They started a family and later divorced.

Abby worked in various jobs in the Midwest before returning to North Platte in 1998. Here she worked as a driver for Armadillo then did custodian work at Mid-Plains Community College and the Rec Center and later worked for the City Parks Department.

Abby enjoyed riding her motorcycle (a hobby she took up after her divorce) and she loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Foster; brothers, John Foster, Jr., Kent Foster, Joel Foster, Steven Kelsey and Gerald Kelsey; and sister-in-law, Brenda Foster.

Survivors include her special friend, Mike Adamson of North Platte; children, David (Taesha) Bliss, Michelle (Herbie) Gipson, Jessica (Robert) Bullington and Teresa Bliss, all of Harrison, AR; grandchildren, Lewis, Matthew, Sydney, Jasmine and Kendra; sisters, Mary (Don) Goosey of North Platte and Anne (Paul) McQueen of Olny, TX; brothers, Mark Foster of Lincoln, Robert (Loni) Kelsey and Tom (Meri) Kelsey of North Platte, and Jack (Susan) Kelsey of Little Rock, AR; her nieces and nephews including Sara Foster and Nathan Foster; as well as many extended family members.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Harvest Christian Fellowship.  The memorial book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com.  Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
